If you are in the market for a convertible car seat that won't completely take over your car - THIS is the seat for you.
I AGONIZED over what seat to buy for my 9 month old - who just grew out of her infant seat - and I ended up deciding that this was the best option. I was right. It fits perfectly behind the passenger seat of my Toyota Matrix (really, just a longer Corolla). I installed it myself, using the simple instructions, and had it inspected. It passed inspection with flying colors, so it's not hard to install AT ALL.
Most of the car seats out there are WAY too big, ugly and weigh a TON. This car seat may not fit your child as long as other car seats, but I feel that is an unrealistic goal. No car seat is going to be perfect for every situation. You should see what can reasonably fit in your car, and is the safest. A car seat is only safe if it fits your car properly. Don't just get what everyone else gets, or what sells the best - it may not fit in your car.
Oh - and for anyone who is concerned about these being made by a "Euro" company? They have stricter rules than the US - so I trust them WAY more. (Britax is a Euro company, BTW.)

I really like this seat, some complain that it is hard to install...I am a stay at home mom and installed it without a problem. Read the directions and use some common sense, it was simple, we also have a Graco myride 65 and that was harder to install than this one. I have a 2005 Crv, and this fits well even in rear facing, the myride 65....NO way. My only complaint is the plastic that covers where you push down to loosen the straps, It makes it more difficult than it really needs to be it should have been cloth. Also, the myride 65 has a level built in so you can make sure it's put in right, this one just has a line that says 'level to ground' so that is the 2 bad things that i have found. My son is almost 6 months and always in the 75% range, and fits it well. I did put my neice in it just to see, she weighs 38lbs and is over 3 feet tall and she even fits it fine, so I can't complain.

We LOVE this car seat. We've had this car seat for 2+ years.
My kid falls asleep in the car every day. I can easily reach back and pull the seat to recline it so his head is not falling over.
My kid has also gotten car sick many (many) times. We've washed the seat cover (on super gentle cycle) several times and the cover looks new.
I love that the cover is simple and black and doesn't get hot. We are looking at the Maxi Cosi booster seat now since we love this one.
